CMC Atlanta offers professional, private music lessons for students ages 4 and up of all skill levels, from absolute beginners to pre-professionals.
Most Elementary Division students meet with their instructor weekly for a one-on-one, 30-minute session. As students develop their skills, master foundational concepts, and tackle complex material, sessions are extended to 45 or 60 minutes.
Lessons take place with a professional faculty member in a finely appointed music studio. Our environment provides the focused dedication and motivation required to develop musical skills, entirely free from home distractions or the noisy back rooms of retail music stores.

Flexible Scheduling & Off-Peak Discounts
We offer convenient appointments throughout the week to easily fit into your family's schedule. If you book an appointment during our off-peak hours, you are eligible for a tuition discount.Peak Hours: Weekdays from 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM and Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Off-Peak Hours: Weekday mornings/early afternoons, late evenings, and Sundays.

At CMC Atlanta, we believe a holistic approach is necessary for a child or adult to become a creative and literate musician. When you enroll in Studio Lessons, we invite you to explore our Immersion Programs.For as little as $15 more per month, programs like our Afterschool Music Program (AMP), Saturday Morning Music School, and Day Camp for Kids bundle your private lessons with additional curricular support:
- Comprehensive Musicianship Program (CMP): Students gain access to ongoing singing classes, drumming classes, music literacy, music theory, songwriting, and improvisation workshops.
- Performance Programs & Projects: Students participate in stylistically diverse performance tracks that provide a fun, social context for making music.
- Childcare & Transportation: Our programs add ultimate convenience for working parents. Lessons are offered year round, weekdays and weekends. We operate on a traditional academic term cycle, as follows:
- Fall Term: August - December,
- Winter Term: January - May,
- Summer Term: June - July.
Enrollment is ongoing, year round. Students can register and begin at any time!

We offer training in
- Classical Music,
- Jazz Music,
- Rock and Pop Music, and
- American Folk & Roots Music
Traditional and experimental approaches within these fields are supported.
With very few exceptions, students are taught to read and understand music using the terminology and conceptual frameworks used by professional musicians.

How much? +
The tuition for Studio Lessons is set according to the duration of the private lessons. Fall Term (August-December) or Winter/Spring Term (January-May) rates, as follows:
- Tuition with 30-minute, private lessons: $900 per term or $180 monthly installments
- Tuition with 45-minute, private lessons: $1350 per term or $270 monthly installments
- Tuition with 60-minute, private lessons: $1800 per term or $360 monthly installments
We accept students at any time and term tuition will be adjusted to reflect the date of enrollment and the number of weeks remaining in the term.
Summer Term (June-July): students may enroll in 4, 6 or 8 lessons. Rates determined by student and instructor availability.
Please note: there is an annual Registration Fee of $80 per student. Tuition paid in monthly installments online by credit card are assed a 3.5% Administrative & Processing Fee.
